At Afri Tour EduVenture, our mission is to empower and inspire the next generation of tourism and hospitality leaders across Africa. We are dedicated to bridging the gap between education and industry by providing students and recent graduates with exceptional resources, practical experiences, and unparalleled networking opportunities. By fostering a community of passionate professionals, we aim to elevate the standards of tourism and hospitality, contributing to the sustainable development and global recognition of Africa's vibrant tourism sector.
Our Story
AfriTour EduVenture (ATEV) was born from a deeply personal journey and a powerful vision. Founded by Asiimwe Collins, a passionate tourism professional and youth advocate, ATEV emerged from first-hand experiences of the gaps between tourism education and real-world industry practice in Africa.
While studying Tourism Management and working in Uganda's tourism sector, Asiimwe saw how thousands of students across the continent graduate without meaningful field exposure, practical skills, or access to career opportunities.
ATEV was established to bridge the disconnect between academic learning and practical experience, giving youth platforms to innovate.
The initiative was created to bridge this academic disconnect by providing students with structured internships, experiential field trips, mentoring, and pathways to launch community projects.
Since its inception, ATEV has evolved into a vibrant pan-African movement—uniting students, educators, industry leaders, and communities under one mission: to unlock the potential of Africa's youth through tourism.
